Keyless-Go fault message appearing after repairs or battery issues? Some Mercedes control units may require configuration or initialisation before the system can operate correctly again.
Mercedes Keyless-Go systems rely on communication between multiple control units including the electronic ignition lock, vehicle access system and central gateway modules.
In some cases, faults relating to:
- “component not configured”
- “incorrect data received”
- communication loss
- internal control unit faults
may appear after:
- module replacement
- low voltage events
- battery replacement
- interrupted programming procedures
- software corruption
If the control unit configuration is incomplete or communication between modules becomes unstable, Keyless-Go functions may stop operating correctly.
Manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment is usually required to perform configuration, SCN coding or synchronisation procedures.
Replacing Keyless-Go components without correct coding or configuration may cause additional communication faults or system functions to remain inoperative.
